Carnivals, Busking etc.

Dance Dedication support many local carnivals by entering a float and raising money for the carnival charities. We also take part in the Sandwich “le Weekend” event and The Ramsgate arts festival.

Carnivals 2012

Dover Carnival Sunday 8th July

First carnival of the season, so come along to see what the new Dance Dedication float will look like.

This year we are having a tropical theme to our carnivals so we have all new tee shirts and of course the every popular Slightly non alcoholic punch (we're not allowed alcohol) for that summer feeling.

I'll be at the Maison Dieu Car park from about 3:30 on sunday 8th July. The parade kicks off at 18:00 and normally takes about an hour and a half. so should be in the pub by 8.00 pm.

Not been before?

Don't wear dance shoes as a lot of the dancing is on the street so it wrecks the soles.

We do have dancing on the float, loud music and a great time. I'll supply water to drink as we go round and leaflets to hand out to try to get new guests for the venues.

Deal Carnival Thursday 26th July

The Second carnival of the season

We meet at 5:30 (details to follow) with the parade starting at 7.00 pm

Loads of laughs both before, during and after this on.

Once again there is a strict alcohol ban so we will only be having fruit punch or bucks fizz made with sparkling grape juice.

Normally finished by 8:30 and looking for a chippy and a drink.

Whitstable Carnival (details to follow)

Early August

Herne Bay Carnival 11th August 2013

This one is a Staurday evening carnival starting at 6pm. I will be down at the sea front (Western Esplanade) from about 4.00pm (float number to be added later)

This Carnival is my home town so we try to make a big show and go really over the top.

After the carnival we normally attend the Carnival Ball at the kings Hall where the "Band" is interesting to say the least but the disco bit gives us a few tracks to dance to.

Always a lot of fun at this one.
